Debbie S.
Nickname: Debbie
Insight into Nickname?
Deborah sounded too formal for a kid!
# of Years Riding: I took the MSF class in May 2002.
What made you want to ride your own motorcycle? I was working a couple of days per week at a Harley dealership. Naturally, I was meeting people who had motorcycles and was deathly afraid to get on the back of one. I figured I could sure my fears by learning more about motorcycles. The MSF class just showed me that I belonged in the front seat.
Currently Ride: 2006 HD Dyna Street Bob
First Bike: HD Sportster 883 Hugger
Dream Bike if I won the lotto: A Touring bike that I could reach the ground and controls!
Best Road Trip to Date: Sturgis 2004
Favorite Roads to Ride on 2 wheels: Blue Ridge Parkway
Dream Road Trip for me to Road Captain: I just won the lotto and got that big touring bike with lots of bags, so it is off to the stores we go, shopping and more shopping. Let's roll ladies, cause lunch and then some is on me!
Any exciting Road Trip Stories? Getting lost in the backwoods of Tennessee and realizing that the rejects from Deliverance were living back there. ("Those are some mighty purty bikes ya got there!") Also, riding around Cooperstown, NY in 2007, we ran out of paved road, and when we stopped both BIll and I (and our bikes) were covered in caterpillers!
Birthday:
July 1st
Birthplace: Long Island
Birthday Suit: Anything in pink with lots of embellishments!
Ambitions: To retire young enough so I can have some wonderful road trips.
Turn Ons: People who manage to fit everything into their schedule, (remember, if you need something done- ask someone who is busy- since they know time management)
Turn Offs:
People who don't work, yet seem to accomplish nothing (no, they don't have small kids at home either) People with no sense of humor.
Charities I have supported: Paws for Patriots, The Spring Domestic Violence Shelter, Bikers 4 Boobs, Fisher House
Special Talents: Readin' and writin
Present Occupation: Trusts and estates paralegal
Dream Job: Two- wheeled Roving reporter (I am sort of doing that now, but on a small scale- but I mean traveling from one big rally to the next)
Weirdest Job I have ever held:
My brother and I worked in a tire warehouse when we were teenagers. The guy in charge would bark out orders to us for hours on end. We did everything asked of us and came back for more when we needed the money. After work, my brother would do his best imitations of the guy in charge of the warehouse. I think my brother is still missing his calling as a stand up comedian. He is the brother who is married to the woman known as "The Beastmaster".
The Most Shocking  Thing about Me: It's all shocking!
What I like BEST about the WITW Dangerous Curves Chapter: The opportunity to meet some of the nicest and coolest ladies who ride their own bikes!
