Nickname: Not!
Insight into Nickname? Kathy doesn't really care for nicknames...  it's a Boston Thing. (Note: we are now officially  taking nickname suggestions for "Boston", I mean Kathy!)
# of Years Riding: 15 years
What made you want to ride your own motorcycle? Since I was 10, I knew I HAD to ride a motorcycle, but my parents forbid me to even think about it. SO that is exactly what I did. When I was 16 years old, I bought the smallest street bike that Honda made. I didn't have my own car so I borrowed my Dad's car to go to the dealer. I was so excited about my new bike that I left the bill of sale on the seat. When my Dad found it, he made me sell my new bike right back to the dealer. I hadn't even gotten my new prize off the showroom floor! When I was on my own and away at college I got my first bike a Yamaha Route 66 (250cc). I bought 4 more bikes in the next several years. Feeling brave (and 3,000 miles away from home in California) I finally told my parents that I bought my first bike, a BMW R 1100R ( which was actually my 6th bike!) Since then, I have not looked back at all! I have owned about another half a dozen bikes since the day I came out of the "motorcycle closet"!
Currently Ride: 2005 BMW K1200LT (kitchen sink on wheels)
First Bike: Yamaha Route 66
Dream Bike if I won the lotto: A 2008 model of my BMW -OR- a harem of motley assorted bikes including a very old restored retro bike (Like a classic boxer engine BMW)
Best Road Trip to Date: Toledo, Ohio for 2004 WITW Summer Nationals
Favorite Roads to Ride on 2 wheels: All roads as long as they are paved, (at least with my current bike)
Dream Road Trip for me to Road Captain: I would love to tour across Alaska, on a motorcycle, (NOT in the winter!)
Any exciting road trip stories? On my trip to Toledo, Ragan and I stopped for fuel. I dropped my one and only key inside handlebars/ main fairing (of course the handlebars were locked out!) After trying everything I could think of, I had to call the towing guy- 1 1/2 hour later, after using an assortment of "tow truck tools", the patient mechanic retrieved my key without dropping the key further in or having to disassemble my bike. As daylight ticked by, Ragan showed extreme patience!
Birthday: December 2nd (hint, hint, I AM Ragan's birthday twin!)
Birthplace: Worcester, Mass
Birthday Suit: Yes, I have one.
Ambitions: To live everyday to the fullest.
Turn Ons: My beautiful girlfriend           Turn Offs: Rude people, NY Yankees
Charities I have supported: Hospice
Special Talents: Drive an 18 wheeler, love to play various sports, Reiki Healer, No. 1 Boston Red Sox/ New England Patriots Fan! ( Go Sox! Next Year Patties!)
Present Occupation: Truck Driver (WAY preferred to my previous position as a Registered Nurse... except for the home care of injured hands- g2 told me to add that!)
Dream Job: Something without too much stress, with an actual 40 hour work week (M-F 9- 5 would do just fine) that pays well enough to buy lots of motorcycle toys (NOT Nursing!)
Weirdest Job I have ever held: Cleaned houses for a living, (my friends understand.)
Most shocking thing about me: Occassionally, I LOVE  to get my nails manicured at a day spa, and I scream like a girl when a softball is hit to me.
What I like BEST about the WITW Dangerous Curves Chapter:
1) The comradery of the women and diversity of my DC  friends.
2) Variety of rides and events
3) Being in a "No Drama Zone" and
4) The "Shut Up and Let's Just Ride" motorcycle attitude: Because that's what we do!
